Meet your FieldLine Offline Reasoning Assistant
Capable software. A practical guide beside you. Ask FLORA about the tools, work through unfamiliar steps, and understand what to check next—in FieldLine PDF and FieldLine Planner.
Local AI guidance. No hosted AI account required.
You choose and apply every change.
Ask without leaving the document or schedule behind.
Local model processing for your questions and supplied context.
FieldLine reference material supports the advice.
Understand the tools. Keep moving.
When a control is unfamiliar or a workflow is unclear, ask in your own words. FLORA is designed to explain the relevant tools and steps, helping you learn as you work. Keep her docked beside the software, or move her into a separate window on another display.
01 / FLORA + FieldLine PDF
From setting a scale to issuing a reviewed copy, get help understanding the workflow while your document stays in front of you.
Select a topic to see an example question and the work it can help you approach.
Scale → check → measure
“How should I calibrate this drawing before starting a takeoff?”
FLORA can explain the documented calibration workflow: use a known dimension, apply the intended scale and independently check another dimension before measuring. Get the setup clear before you put quantities to work.
Your next move: Choose the controls, verify the scale against the drawing, then use FieldLine’s measurement tools.
Original → revision → review
“How do I compare the original sheet with the revision?”
Ask how to choose the original and revised documents, pair the pages and use FieldLine’s comparison tools. FLORA helps explain the procedure; the application performs the comparison you request.
Your next move: Select the documents, run the comparison and inspect the differences yourself.
Editable work → issued copy
“How do I save this PDF so my markups remain editable?”
Understand the difference between saving an editable PDF and exporting an ordinary flattened review copy. FLORA can help explain the workflow so you can retain working information and choose the deliverable the job needs.
Your next move: Choose Save or Export for your purpose, then reopen and check the resulting file.
Find information → choose the tool
“How can I search a scanned drawing?”
Ask about search, navigation and OCR when a scanned page has no searchable text. You can also ask about markup tools and review workflows. FLORA’s limited page context helps orient the conversation; it does not replace inspecting the sheet.
Your next move: Run the appropriate document tool and check its output against the source.
A more approachable toolset
Ask about panels, markup tools, document controls and supported workflows. FLORA gives you another way to approach the software when you don’t know the terminology or where to begin.
The starter panel includes questions about finding footing details, comparing sheets and preparing a takeoff. Those are guidance prompts; you carry out the document operations.

02 / FLORA + FieldLine Planner
Tasks, dates, calendars and resources work together. Ask about the relationships, understand the documented controls, and make better-informed changes yourself.
Select a topic to see an example question and the work it can help you approach.
Sequence → dependency → check
“How should I link framing after the slab work?”
Ask about predecessors, successors, finish-to-start relationships, lead and lag. FLORA helps explain the documented concepts and controls so you can represent the real work sequence instead of adjusting bars by guesswork.
Your next move: Apply the appropriate link and review the calculated dates and dependency direction.
Calendar → constraint → calculation
“What should I check when a task’s finish date is unexpected?”
Working time, dependencies, constraints and calculation mode can all affect a plan. FLORA can explain those settings and help you work through the documented checks using limited context from the selected task.
Your next move: Inspect the relevant settings in Planner and confirm the effect of each change.
Demand → capacity → review
“What does this resource overload warning mean?”
Ask what allocation, available capacity and peak units mean, and how to review them. FLORA helps explain the information supplied by Planner; she does not automatically level resources or rewrite assignments.
Your next move: Review the allocation view, choose a practical adjustment and check the resulting plan.
Reference → update → compare
“How do I review a delay without overwriting the approved baseline?”
Ask about preserving a reference, recording progress and reviewing changes. FLORA can explain the differences between a baseline, a status date and a progress update, including what those actions do and do not reschedule.
Your next move: Work on the intended copy, apply the update yourself and compare the result with the reference.
Scheduling help, close at hand
Planner can supply limited project information and details from a selected task or resource. Relevant guide references accompany answers, giving you a place to follow up on the documented workflow.
Use the guidance to understand links, dates and resource information before applying your next change. You remain in control of the plan.

03 / How FLORA works
FLORA brings together a local language model, relevant FieldLine learning material and limited context from your work. The result is practical guidance generated on your computer.
The current integrations use a bundled Qwen3 4B language model with a local llama.cpp runtime. Relevant excerpts from reviewed FieldLine learning material support the answer, alongside limited context from the active application.
FieldLine Offline Reasoning Assistant. She has separate integrations for FieldLine PDF and FieldLine Planner, with guidance tailored to the application you are using.
No cloud AI subscription or hosted AI API account is needed for FLORA’s local answer generation. The required desktop application, runtime and model must be installed. Product licensing and update terms are described separately on the product pages.
FieldLine PDF supplies a document/page reference, selected-markup count, and short page-text and markup excerpts when available—up to 230 characters of page text and 100 characters of markup summary. Planner supplies project summaries, short diagnostics and selected-task or resource information. This is limited context, not automatic reading of every page or schedule row.
FLORA is advisory. She does not edit PDFs, save projects, import files or automatically reschedule work. You operate the software, choose the changes and check the results.
FLORA uses the installed model on your computer to generate answers. Questions and supplied context are not sent to a hosted AI service for inference. Licensing, configured updates and services you choose—such as email, network printing or cloud folders—have separate behavior. In PDF, Report response prepares an email draft for you to review and send; it does not send automatically.
The default model occupies approximately 2.5 GB of disk space, and 16 GB of system memory is the recommended baseline. It runs on Windows x64 with the supplied local runtime. CPU operation and supported GPU acceleration affect startup and response speed; performance depends on your hardware.
The two integrations have their own context and conversations. Automatic cross-app memory or PDF-to-Planner handoff is not established. Planner guidance sessions are not saved with the project.
Generated advice can be wrong or incomplete. Check the original documents, verify drawing scales and measurements, and review schedule consequences before relying on a result. FLORA helps you use the tools; she does not replace professional judgement.
Availability depends on the desktop version and the model/runtime supplied with it. Check the product and version information for the edition you receive. Older installations and browser previews do not necessarily include the local assistant.
A guide beside you
FLORA helps make a capable toolset easier to approach. She explains supported workflows and the information supplied to her. You retain responsibility for the document, the plan, the measurements and the decisions that affect your work.
