Start with a real plan

Begin with a blank schedule.
Build it around the job.

Create the first task, shape the task table, and let the Gantt view tell the story beside it. FieldLine Planner is designed to keep the details and the sequence in the same workspace from day one.

  1. 01 Create the project and task structure
  2. 02 Set dates, durations, and relationships
  3. 03 Keep the timeline in view as work changes

A workspace that adapts

Make the schedule fit
the way you work.

Every job has its own vocabulary. Add the data you need, control the columns that remain visible, and keep the planning view readable without losing the information behind it.

Add the fields you needTask table

01 / Configure

Add what the plan needs.

Bring existing schedule fields into the task table where they can help the team make decisions.

Control the gridColumn menu

02 / Organize

Let the right data lead.

Insert, hide, resize, and manage columns so the schedule is easier to scan in the moment.

Fine-tune the viewField settings
Field Settings dialog with title, alignment, width, and header-wrapping controls.

03 / Read clearly

Give each field its place.

Adjust titles, alignment, width, and header wrapping for a task table that works at a glance.

Make the project familiar from the first review. Planner keeps your task rows and Gantt timeline side by side, so the plan reads like the job rather than a stack of disconnected screens.

Make the plan yours

Build the schedule around
the information that matters.

Move beyond a fixed task list. Add task or resource fields, give those fields a useful shape, and review the values in the same workspace as the Gantt chart.

Custom fields

Create space for
project-specific details.

Choose a task or resource field type, add it to the project, and make room for the data your team actually tracks.

Field configuration

Let the table say
exactly what you need.

Give a field a name, choose its value source, and inspect a live preview before you apply the change to the project.

  • Entered values and summary calculations
  • Display settings and data preview
  • Project records in one reviewable view

before it becomes a field.

Use the formula field workspace to choose source fields and functions, then review the calculated values in the project preview.

  • Record-level preview before applying changes

See the signal

Ask less of your eyes.
Ask more of the plan.

Start with the project as a whole, then define a focused view for the tasks or resources that need a decision today.

Custom filters

Build a view around
the question in front of you.

The filter workspace separates task and resource views. Create a saved definition when you need the same lens again.

Choose the scope.

Start with tasks or resources, then choose the fields that belong in the question.

Define the rule.

Combine conditions to isolate matching records or draw attention to them in the current view.

Keep the definition.

Save a filter when a team needs to return to the same perspective during planning.

Start a task or resource filter from a clean definition.
Add conditions, then apply or highlight the matching work.

Working time

Put real working time
on the calendar.

A schedule should reflect the time your team can actually use. Review the default week, define working weeks, and add date-specific exceptions inside the Planner workspace.

  • Project calendar selection
  • Default-week and work-week views
  • Dated working-time exceptions
  • Calendar copy and creation controls

Use calendar controls as part of normal project review; validate schedule outcomes against your own project requirements before you act on them.

Review a calendar’s default week, work weeks, and exceptions without leaving the plan.

FLORA for Planner

Ask the plan.
Keep control of the work.

FLORA brings local, advisory guidance into FieldLine Planner. Ask about tasks, links, calendars, progress, the critical path, and resource capacity—while every project edit stays with your team.

Planner guidance, on this device

Advisory only. No project edits.

FLORA provides schedule guidance in the workspace. You review the answer, decide what matters, and make any task, date, link, or resource change yourself.

Ask about the plan.

Bring tasks, links, calendars, progress, and project context into a clearer question.

Review what drives completion.

Use FLORA beside the Gantt workspace to investigate the critical path and what to check next.

Keep the conversation separate.

FLORA chats stay in the guidance window and are not saved with the project.

How to read this: Year 1, Year 2, Year 3, and Year 5 each show the payment due in that individual year—not a cumulative total. That is why FieldLine Planner is $0.00 after its initial lifetime purchase. The final column shows cumulative five-year spend, where one FieldLine seat remains $199.99 while GanttPRO Business reaches $1,020 at its displayed rate.

Public list prices were checked October 10, 2026 and are calculated as rate × paid planning seats × 12 months. They exclude tax, discounts, billing changes, add-ons, implementation, support packages, and custom or enterprise quotes. GanttPRO advertises lower prices for larger teams; actual quoted prices can differ. Products and feature sets differ, so this is a cost illustration—not a feature-for-feature quote.

Ask the FieldLine team →

What is FieldLine Planner?

FieldLine Planner is a Windows desktop planning workspace for building and reviewing task tables, Gantt charts, fields, filters, and working-time information in one project view.

Can I start a project from a blank plan?

Yes. Start with a blank project, enter tasks in the task table, and build the schedule in the Gantt-chart workspace. Add detail as the plan takes shape.

Can I customize the information in my task table?

Yes. Planner includes task and resource custom fields, field settings, entered values, and formula-based fields. Use the field preview to inspect results before applying the change to the project.

Can I filter or highlight tasks?

Yes. Use Custom Filters to define task or resource conditions, save a filter definition, apply the matching view, or highlight matching work in the current workspace.

Can I set working weeks and calendar exceptions?

Yes. The working-time controls include default-week, work-week, and date-exception views, along with calendar copy and creation controls. Review calendar changes against your organisation’s schedule rules before you rely on the result.

Does Planner include baseline tools?

Planner includes baseline tools and baseline information in the project workspace. Use your team’s normal schedule-review process to validate baseline decisions and project changes.

Can I bring in a Microsoft Project file?

Planner can import .mpp, .mpt, and MSPDI XML files into its own .flproject local project format. It does not write native MPP files. Planner is not presented as full Microsoft Project feature parity, so review complex imported schedules carefully before using them as project controls.

How is Planner project work saved?

Planner saves its working project in the .flproject format. Keep projects in the locations, backup routines, and access-control processes that suit your organisation. Store activation, updates, and any separately selected services can have their own network requirements.

What is FLORA for Planner?

FLORA is FieldLine Planner’s Offline Reasoning Assistant. It runs locally in the Planner workspace and provides advisory guidance about schedule context—such as tasks, links, calendars, progress, the critical path, and resource capacity. FLORA never edits your project; you review the guidance and make any plan change yourself. Chats stay in the FLORA window and are not saved with the project.

What is the planned FieldLine Planner price?

The planned Microsoft Store price is $199.99 USD for one lifetime planning seat. It is a one-time licence, not a recurring software subscription. The page’s marketplace button is a placeholder until the final FieldLine Planner Store listing is published.

Does every planner need a licence?

Yes. FieldLine Planner is priced one-to-one: each person who needs the Windows planning workspace needs one $199.99 USD lifetime licence. For example, 50 planning seats are 50 one-time licences. Those same licences have no recurring subscription renewal in later years.

Can I buy Planner and FieldLine PDF together?

We plan to offer the FieldLine suite for $299.99 USD, a saving of $99.99 versus two individual planned $199.99 purchases. A combined Microsoft Store bundle listing is not published yet; explore FieldLine PDF while the bundle offer is prepared.
