HEINRICH
Heinrich by EMPHOS · Harmonic Intelligence

Heinrich is not
another language model.
It is a Harmonic Mind.

A new agentic intelligence from EMPHOS Group. No LLM. No GPU. CPU-only. Built around a structured concept substrate, biological memory, and a Knowledge State that decides whether Heinrich can answer — before it answers.

What Heinrich Is

A different kind of intelligence —
built from a different starting point.

Heinrich is the agentic AI workspace built on the Harmonic Mind — a structured cognitive substrate developed by EMPHOS Group from the first principle that knowledge can be addressed, retrieved, and reasoned over without using a language model at all.

Concepts live as structured, addressable units. Memory is biological — concepts that activate together strengthen retrieval paths. A Knowledge State tracks what is known, partial, uncertain, or stale, and decides whether Heinrich can answer or must research. The architecture is agentic by design: plan, act, verify, prove.

Most AI systems generate text. Heinrich is being built to know, plan, act, verify, and remember — within controlled, inspectable workflows that finish.

Why a New Architecture Matters

Bigger models do not solve structural problems.

Today's AI systems generate fluently and forget completely. They produce confident answers without knowing whether they know. They cannot show what they did. The waste, the hallucination, and the rework are not failures of scale — they are properties of the architecture. Heinrich is being built on a different one.

The Gap Today

Generation without knowing

Statistical models predict the next token. They have no native sense of confidence, no persistent memory, no concept of completion. When something goes wrong, there is rarely a trail. When the answer is wrong, the user discovers it.

Heinrich's Direction

A structured cognitive substrate

Concepts as addressable units. Memory as biological co-activation. Knowledge State as a routing layer. Research Cortex for closing gaps. Proof receipts as a first-class output. Each piece exists because something the language-model layer cannot do, has to be done by something.

Heinrich is not a bigger model. It is a different model of intelligence — built so the work can be planned, executed, verified, and finished without statistical guessing along the way.
Core Capabilities

Seven systems. One workspace.

Each capability stands on its own. Together, they form a workspace designed to handle the full arc of meaningful work — from initial goal to verified completion.

01

Goal Orchestration

Turn complex requests into structured plans, milestones, tasks, approvals, and completion criteria. Goals are intake as objectives, constraints, permissions, risks, and success criteria — with approval before Heinrich mutates files or dispatches agents.

Plan · Approve · Dispatch
02

Agentic Workflow Execution

Approved goals decompose into worker tasks with dependencies, permissions, expected artifacts, and proof requirements. A supervised execution loop tracks state, handles blockers, runs proofs, and closes only when success criteria pass.

Coordinate · Supervise · Close
03

Knowledge State Index

Every concept is tagged Known, Partial, Uncertain, Contradicted, or Stale — with evidence, receipts, and last-verified time. Answer generation routes through Knowledge State so Heinrich knows whether a concept is answer-ready before responding.

Known · Partial · Uncertain · Stale
04

Inner Mind Research Cortex

Unresolved claims, contradictions, and low-confidence answers become bounded research questions. Heinrich identifies the gap, fetches sources under permission, stages findings as evidence, and routes for promotion review — not autonomous browsing, but controlled inner-mind research.

Gap · Source · Stage · Promote
05

Hebbian Association Memory

Memory is biological. Concepts that activate together strengthen retrieval paths through bounded, decaying associations. Memory acts as a retrieval prior — it is never automatically promoted to truth. Source receipts and verifier approval decide confidence, not co-activation alone.

Co-Activate · Strengthen · Decay · Gate
06

Proof-First Operation

Every meaningful operation emits a reviewable artifact — checkpoint, evidence bundle, test report, audit row. Heinrich does not claim it ran; it shows you. Receipts persist as a record of what the system did and what the user approved.

Receipts · Checkpoints · Artifacts
07

Human-in-the-Loop Control

Sensitive actions, file mutations, agent dispatch, and major workflow decisions pause for explicit user approval. The system runs, but it asks before it commits. Approval gates, pause/resume, rollback evidence, and recovery behavior are built into the architecture — not bolted on.

Approve · Pause · Resume · Rollback
Architecture Overview

The Harmonic Mind, layer by layer.

Heinrich is built around a multi-part cognitive architecture. Implementation is EMPHOS proprietary. The conceptual stack is described here.

layer / 01
Assistant Surface
The outward-facing layer the user interacts with. Handles conversation, intent capture, clarification, and presentation of work back to the user. Built to feel responsive while the underlying systems do the heavier work.
layer / 02
Agentic Runtime
The orchestration layer. Plans, sequences, and coordinates worker agents under a larger goal. Runs under tool and action contracts so the system can act — only within defined surfaces, and only with approval where required.
layer / 03
Knowledge State Index
The system's awareness of what it knows. Every concept tagged with confidence, evidence, receipts, and last-verified time. Decides when Heinrich answers directly, routes to research, or asks for clarification — before generation begins.
layer / 04
Hebbian Memory
Session and cross-session context, held as biological co-activation associations rather than re-sent prompt context. Memory is bounded, decaying, reviewable, and clearly separated from verified knowledge. A retrieval prior — not a truth source.
layer / 05
Harmonic Concept Substrate
The structured store where addressable concepts live, organized across cognitive layers. The foundation Heinrich reasons over. Designed for direct addressability and explicit relationships — not statistical pattern recall.
layer / 06
Research & Verification Loops
Closed loops that close knowledge gaps and check completion. The Research Cortex routes uncertainty toward evidence under permission. The verification layer checks whether the work actually satisfies the goal — with results carried back into the workflow.
layer / 07
Workflow Proof Receipts
A persistent record of what Heinrich did, what evidence it collected, and what the user approved. The output of every meaningful operation is an artifact that can be reviewed, replayed, or audited after the fact.
Implementation details — the encodings, protocols, and internal structures that make this work — are EMPHOS proprietary. The architecture is described here at the conceptual level. The system underneath is being built to deliver on it.
Use Cases

Designed for work that moves things forward.

Heinrich is being built for the kind of work where continuity, evidence, and follow-through matter as much as the answer itself.

Build software from a natural-language request

Goal Orchestration translates intent into a structured build plan; agents coordinate the work; receipts confirm what shipped.

Research and summarize with evidence tracking

The Research Cortex identifies gaps, collects sources under permission, and stages findings as evidence before any of it becomes learned.

Manage projects and long-running tasks

Hebbian memory preserves context across sessions; checkpoints persist progress; what was open yesterday is what comes back today.

Generate and review documents

Draft, structure, cite, and verify — with the underlying evidence carried alongside the output as source receipts.

Coordinate testing and release workflows

Defined checks run inside the supervised execution loop; failures surface; sensitive steps gate for explicit approval before commit.

Assist with product development

Plan features, structure decisions, track open questions, and verify what shipped against what was scoped — under Knowledge State governance.

Maintain context across sessions

Hebbian associations preserve relevance over time; what was decided, what is open, and what is next remain in view across days, not minutes.

Help teams move from idea to implementation

Structure the path between "we should build this" and "here is what shipped" — with proof receipts at every stage.

Trust, Safety, and Control

Powerful agents need discipline.

Heinrich is being designed so important actions can be reviewed, verified, paused, resumed, or rejected. Supervision is a first-class feature of the architecture — not a layer added on top of an unrestricted system.

Boundaries

Heinrich operates inside defined tool and action contracts. Capability is granted — not assumed.

Review Gates

Sensitive operations, destructive actions, and major workflow decisions pause for explicit user approval.

Audit Trails

Workflow proof receipts persist as a reviewable record of what the system did and what the user approved.

Permission Controls

Tool access and action scope are configurable per workflow, so capability matches the level of trust.

Checkpoint & Rollback

Persistent checkpoints, pause/resume, rollback evidence, and recovery behavior for long-running goal workflows.

Honest Uncertainty

Knowledge State routes uncertain answers to research or clarification — before producing output Heinrich cannot stand behind.

Heinrich is designed to help people move faster while keeping people in control. Powerful by design. Supervised by design.
Current Status

In active development. Early access opening.

Heinrich is currently in active development and internal testing on the commercial root. Early access will focus on controlled workflows, human-reviewed outputs, and rigorous validation. The intent is to onboard early users responsibly — with capability rolled out as it earns confidence.
