Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) applies to the websites, software, accounts, and online services provided by EMPHOS Group Corporation (“EMPHOS Group,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), including Aletheia, Heinrich, and FieldLine PDF where made available (the “Services”). It applies alongside the Terms of Service, the applicable End User License Agreement (“EULA”), and any product-specific agreement. Licence permissions, device limits, and commercial-use rights are set by the agreement for the product you use.

You must use the Services lawfully, respect the rights of others, and comply with this AUP. Enforcement measures are described in Section 4. Nothing in this policy excludes rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

Section 1

Permitted Use

Our Services are made available for lawful purposes only. You may use our Services to:

• Browse, purchase, and use products and services offered by EMPHOS Group for their intended purpose.
• Use licensed software for personal, professional, or business work as permitted by the applicable product licence.
• Create, review, edit, measure, export, and share your own documents and other work using the features included in your licence.
• Use automation, AI-assisted workflows, and integrations through features or interfaces made available and permitted by EMPHOS Group, or with our prior written authorization.
• Communicate with EMPHOS Group for customer service, support, and account management purposes.
• Create an account and manage your personal profile and purchase history.

Section 2

Prohibited Conduct

2.1 Illegal and Harmful Activities

• Engage in any activity that violates any applicable local, provincial, national, or international law or regulation.
• Facilitate, promote, or engage in illegal gambling, fraud, money laundering, or any other financial crime.
• Distribute, sell, or facilitate the distribution of illegal goods, substances, or materials.
• Engage in human trafficking, exploitation, or any form of abuse or harassment of any individual.
• Threaten, intimidate, stalk, or harass any person.
• Incite violence, hatred, or discrimination against any individual or group based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other characteristic.

2.2 Intellectual Property Violations

• Infringe the copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, or other intellectual property rights of EMPHOS Group or any third party.
• Upload, distribute, or otherwise make available any content, software, or material to which you do not have the legal right.
• Reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our Services or Licensed Products beyond the scope of the applicable license.
• Circumvent digital rights management, licence activation, or copy-protection mechanisms, except to the extent expressly permitted by applicable law.

2.3 Security and Technical Abuse

• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of our Services, servers, networks, databases, or other infrastructure.
• Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of our systems or any connected system without express written authorization.
• Introduce, upload, or transmit any virus, malware, ransomware, spyware, adware, Trojan horse, worm, or other malicious code.
• Conduct denial-of-service (DoS) or distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks against our Services or any third-party service.
• Scrape, crawl, or harvest data from our Services without authorization, including through methods that bypass access restrictions or overload the Services.
• Use bots, scripts, or other automation to create abusive accounts, manipulate orders, send spam, evade restrictions, or exceed authorized access or usage limits.
• Evade trial, activation, seat, or device limits, or use another person's credentials or licence without authorization.
• Circumvent, disable, or interfere with any security-related features of the Services.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to extract proprietary source code or model components, except as permitted by the applicable licence, third-party licence terms, or applicable law.

2.4 Content Standards

These standards apply to content you submit to EMPHOS Group or share through our hosted Services. You must not:

• Upload, post, submit, or transmit content that is false, misleading, defamatory, or fraudulent.
• Upload, post, submit, or transmit content that is obscene, pornographic, sexually explicit, or otherwise inappropriate.
• Upload, post, submit, or transmit content that exploits, harms, or threatens the safety of minors in any way.
• Upload, post, submit, or transmit another person's personal or confidential information without their consent or another lawful basis.
• Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.

2.5 Commercial Misuse

• Resell, sublicense, distribute, or provide third parties with access to EMPHOS software or hosted Services beyond the rights granted by the applicable agreement.
• Use EMPHOS proprietary code, models, or non-public information to develop competing products in breach of your licence, confidentiality obligations, or applicable law.
• Conduct unauthorized commercial solicitation, multi-level marketing, or pyramid schemes through our Services.
• Use our trademarks, logos, or branding without express prior written permission.

These restrictions do not prohibit ordinary professional or business use authorized by your product licence, or the lawful use and distribution of documents and other work you create.

Section 3

User Responsibilities

You are responsible for your use of the Services and for activity you authorize through your account, including automated activity. You agree to:

• Maintain the confidentiality of your account credentials and notify us immediately of any unauthorized access.
• Ensure that any content you submit to our Services complies with this AUP and all applicable laws.
• Review AI-assisted or automated outputs and actions before relying on them or sharing them with others.
• Obtain the permissions needed to access files, accounts, systems, and third-party services used in your workflows.
• Respond to reasonable, lawful instructions concerning a suspected breach of this AUP and cooperate with related investigations.

Section 4

Monitoring and Enforcement

We may investigate suspected violations using activity on our websites, accounts, and hosted Services, and information provided to us, in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable law. This policy does not grant EMPHOS Group a general right to access or inspect files stored locally on your device. Depending on the circumstances, the applicable agreement, and applicable law, we may:

• Issue a formal warning.
• Restrict, suspend, or terminate access to an account, hosted feature, or Service.
• Remove or restrict access to violating content hosted on systems we control.
• Report suspected unlawful activity to relevant authorities where permitted or required by law.
• Pursue available legal remedies.

We may act without prior notice when needed to address an urgent security risk, ongoing abuse, or a legal requirement. Any termination of a software licence is governed by that licence and applicable law. Refund eligibility is governed by the applicable refund terms and law; this AUP does not remove mandatory consumer rights. To request a review of an enforcement action, contact info@emphosgroup.com.

Section 5

Reporting Violations

If you become aware of any use of our Services that you believe violates this AUP, please report it to info@emphosgroup.com with “AUP VIOLATION” in the subject line. Include the affected product or page, what happened, the approximate date and time, and any relevant links or screenshots. Do not send passwords, access tokens, or unnecessary personal information. We review reports and determine the appropriate action based on the information available.

Section 6

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as our Services develop or legal requirements change. The current version will appear on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date. Notice of material changes, when those changes take effect, and any required acceptance will follow the applicable agreement and law.
